The artwork used in the books and other versions of StoryTime Karaoke are customized for each publication. The first artist to contribute to the series is Julie Hubay, who was 14-years old (2006) when she created the line drawings seen in the book. (The versions you see throughout the website were electronically colored (with the help of my 5-year old daughter.)
A call is now being made for artists who wish to contribute to the next books in the STK Library. Noah's Ark and The Night Before Christmas are being planned for a 2011 release. If you are interested in contributing artwork to these or any more books, please contact Frank at frank@storytimekaraoke.com.
STK is the patent pending treatment performed on children’s tales so
the reader’s voice is featured and timed to sound effects and music. The
concept is the same for all levels of technology used; the child hears a familiar
voice reading a story while sound effects are timed to what is happening within
the story. So when Humpty Dumpty takes a great fall or the dish runs away with the spoon, that’s what you hear.
