Instead of singing, you read the words as they
are highlighted on the karaoke machine screen.
This is a great aid for readers
to stay with the sound effects. And great for older children who want to learn
how to read. Many karaoke machines, even the home models, come with ways to record
the mixed output (CD audio plus the voice through the microphone). This will
enable those who want children to hear their voices reading stories at a later
date to be pre-recorded for playback while they are gone.
STK is the patent pending treatment performed on children’s tales so
the reader’s voice is featured and timed to sound effects and music. The
concept is the same for all levels of technology used; the child hears a familiar
voice reading a story while sound effects are timed to what is happening within
the story. So when Humpty Dumpty takes a great fall or the dish runs away with the spoon, that’s what you hear.
